My name is Joe Schaumburg and I’m the guide/boat captain for Good Time Charlie Sportfishing. I have a US Coast Guard Master’s credential and an Oregon guides license. We are also bonded and insured. 

Although this is our first year running Good Time Charlie Sportfishing, I have spent my entire life on the water, not only fishing, but kayaking, snorkeling, racing sailboats, and more. I’ve fished all over the West Coast for numerous species and enjoy the challenge of the hunt and especially the table fare of fresh caught seafood. 

It’s my goal to provide a memorable experience in the ocean that is safe and fun. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing what I know about catching fish off the coast. One of my favorite experiences taking people out into the ocean is seeing them land their first salmon, halibut, or whatever kind of fish we’re chasing.  I will work my butt off to get you on the fish and make sure you have a great time. 

I’m married to my amazing wife Ashley who is also my business partner in Good Time Charlie Sportfishing. I have an awesome stepdaughter, Kaily, who is a great young fisherman herself, and three young daughters Anieta, June and Anna.  Anieta and June have been out fishing the ocean with me since they were old enough to see over the gunnel and Anna will be right behind them.
