Crabbing Information

Ocean crabbing can be really productive, especially later in the summer and into September and early October. We fish with custom commercial style crab pots from FOJ Rod & Reel in up to 135 feet of water. Usually, we set the pots on the way out fishing and then pull them on the way back into the harbor. Sometimes we’re able to fish the pots overnight, pulling them, rebaiting, and resetting them on the way in from fishing. After we’re done crabbing, you can bring them home whole on ice, clean them at the dock, or have them cooked and cleaned. The crab cooking and cleaning services are available at the harbor for a reasonable fee. Crabbing is available all year with the exception of October 16 – November 30 when its closed in the ocean. If crabbing has been really slow, we will advise you of that prior to our trip out so we can focus on the fishing more.
Crabbing can be added to any trip except albacore tuna trips for $35 per person.
